New Jersey Legal Awards

Eligibility/Description Whether it`s writing an important assignment or contract, working with experts or other witnesses, litigating an unreported case, or being a powerful business generator or business leader, much of the exceptional work accomplished every day in New Jersey honors those who work long hours behind the scenes. Nominate a single practitioner who is essential to the company`s or organization`s efforts by sending a nomination letter of no more than 500 words. Eligibility The name speaks for itself, but the ideal candidate will have made a name for themselves in the past year with an accomplishment that goes beyond client service, in the profession and in law. The lawyer must be a practicing lawyer in New Jersey.To Send a short letter (up to 500 words) introducing the nominee and explaining why he or she had the most impact during the year. Eligible lawyers who have not yet reached the age of 40 and who have both outstanding achievements and exceptional potential. Candidates may come from law firms, corporate legal departments, or other types of organizations. Evaluation Criteria Achievements as a practitioner, businessman, organizational leader, and member of the New Jersey legal community are all considered. Nominees are judged on a point system from 1 to 5 for them: there is also a Q&A part of some short answers that are published when the candidate is selected. Please note that for all individual lawyers, we ask lawyers to submit a clearance certificate, a certificate from the court of last instance or an alternative letter (more information can be found here). You can download a copy from the awards portal. If you do not have a copy of this letter at the time of submission, you will need to confirm that a letter will be sent when the candidate is selected. And, of course, we have a special category to recognize the work of New Jersey`s talented corporate lawyers. Description The awards are given to both individual/small business practitioners and large corporations/in-house legal departments of companies that have made strides in innovation. This can include technology and communication, business or cultural innovation, including improvements such as renovations, reconstructions and consolidations. We are looking for individuals or companies that creatively approach legal and/or legal issues, whether through technology, networking, design, communication or other areas.
